About Earthmover
Built with the
People Who Build.
Earthmover is a field operations platform for excavating contractors, designed on live job sites with the crews, foremen, and owners who run them.
Our mission
Give excavating contractors software that fits the work.
Most construction software is written for general contractors and bent to fit everyone else. Excavating is different: the machines are the business, the crews move daily, and the payroll rules change by job.
Earthmover is built for that reality. One record per job, from the bid to the final margin. Time verified at the punch, not tracked all day. Equipment hours that become dollars without a spreadsheet. And a phone app the crew will actually open.
How we got here
Built in the field, not a boardroom.
01 · The problem
Software that never fit the dirt
Heavy equipment moving between sites, crews scattered across the county, prevailing-wage payroll, multi-phase jobs that run for months. General construction software ignored all of it, so spreadsheets and sticky notes filled the gap.
02 · The partnership
Designed with a working contractor
Earthmover was built alongside a Pennsylvania excavating and paving contractor, on their live jobs. Their foremen, office, and owners shaped every screen, and they still do.
03 · Today
The tool we wished the cab had
Time, scheduling, equipment, costing, and reports in one platform, used in the truck and in the office, with records built to survive an audit.
What we believe
Principles we build by.
Built for the field
Most of what ships started as a request from a crew on a live job. If a foreman can’t use it with gloves on, it doesn’t ship.
Foreman is the source of truth
GPS verifies, people decide. When the phone is wrong, the foreman’s entry stands and the flag stays on the record.
One record per job
Bid, schedule, hours, cost, and closeout live on the same project, so nothing is typed twice and nothing leaks.
No bloat, no manual
Excavating has its own rules. We build those in, and leave out everything a general contractor’s tool drags along.
Who’s behind it
A product company and a contractor, building together.
Earthmover is built by Venato, a software company, in partnership with a working excavating and paving contractor. One side writes the code. The other runs the jobs that prove it.
Talk to the Team
Move more. Build more.
The two things every excavating company is actually trying to do. Everything we build serves one or the other.
